Pennies for the PeacePennies for the Peace

July 3, 2006 - WHITE ROCK: This summer the South Surrey location of Choices Recycling Centre will launch “Pennies for the Peace” which will benefit Peace Arch Hospital and Community Health Foundation.

Currently, Peace Arch Hospital and Community Health Foundation is one of several local charities that the clientele of Choices Recycling can donate their recycling refunds to. Each month the total dollars raised through this newly established program is directed to the Foundation and used to help purchase priority medical equipment for Peace Arch Hospital.

“Choices Recycling is committed to preserving the environment and to supporting the work of local charities” says Choices Recycling Centre Manager, Gary Allan. He goes onto say “We hope over time our customers will see that bringing their recycling to our centre is not only good for the environment, but also a convenient way to support the causes that fund important programs and services within our community – like Peace Arch Hospital and Community Health Foundation”.

“We are absolutely thrilled that Choices has chosen to support our Foundation” stated Peace Arch Hospital and Community Health Foundation Executive Director, Jackie Smith. “Our community has supported a long tradition of giving.
